AI receptionist for UK dental practices

Every patient call matters. Make sure yours gets answered.

RecepDental AI answers the calls your team can't reach, books them into your diary using your NHS and private rules, and sends urgent cases to your on-call clinician. You keep your number and your system.

  • Built for UK dental practices
  • Callers are told they're speaking to an AI
  • No contract, cancel any time

Pilot stage. RecepDental AI is in development and is not yet answering live practice calls. Diary integrations, including Dentally, are being built with pilot practices.

  • Keep your own number
  • NHS and private rules
  • Urgent cases escalated
  • Built for UK GDPR

What are missed calls costing you?

Enter your own numbers. This is an estimate, not a promise of results.

Potential lost value each month

£0

Assumes every missed new-patient call would have become a patient. Real results will be lower; treat this as an upper bound.

Try it now

A working simulation with a made-up diary, not your practice. Try booking a check-up, a private consultation, or mention an urgent problem to see how it responds.

Oakfield Dental (made-up practice)

This is a scripted simulation with an invented practice and diary. Please don't enter real personal details. The live product uses your own diary and rules.

Prefer to hear it?

A phone version of this demo is on its way. Until then, ask us for a recorded sample call.

What it does

It covers the calls your team can't get to, and hands over to a person whenever a caller asks.

Answers the calls it covers

Evenings, weekends, holidays and busy periods, on the hours you choose.

Books into your diary

Finds a real slot and books it, then texts the patient a confirmation. Booking depends on your diary integration.

Knows NHS from private

Asks which the patient wants and applies your rules for booking types and fees, so NHS patients aren't quoted private prices.

Escalates urgent cases

Follows a triage script agreed with your clinicians and alerts your on-call number. Anything life-threatening is directed to 999.

How it works

  1. Connect. We link your phone line and diary.
  2. Choose hours. Out of hours, busy times or all day.
  3. Go live. Every call is logged and summarised to your team.

Planned extras

Once it handles your calls, the same system can work on filling your diary and bringing patients back. These are planned and not included in every plan.

Fills last-minute gaps

When a patient cancels, waitlisted patients are contacted so the slot doesn't sit empty.

Cuts no-shows

Appointment confirmations and reminders by SMS or email.

Brings patients back

Outreach to patients who've gone quiet, encouraging them to rebook.

Who's behind this

RecepDental AI is built by a software engineer based in Cheshire who went looking for an emergency dentist out of hours and found nothing. When a practice finally answered, they said there were no NHS places available. That's the gap this is built to close.

We're building alongside a small group of UK pilot practices rather than selling a finished product.

Keep your number, keep your system

You don't need new handsets or a new provider. Setup times are targets we'll confirm with pilot practices, and depend on your phone provider.

Call forwarding

The quickest start. Divert your number to us at set times. Target setup: around 15 minutes. Your provider may charge for forwarded minutes.

SIP link

For practices with an IP phone system. The AI picks up when lines are busy or after a set number of rings. Target: 1 to 2 working days.

Number routing

Full 24/7 control. Your number is routed through our UK platform. Target: several working days.

Planned Dentally integration

We plan to connect to Dentally through its official partner API, subject to approval. Access would start read-only (viewing available appointment slots). Booking access would be enabled only with each practice's explicit approval. We would request only the access needed to find slots and book appointments, and would not use Dentally data for any other purpose.

Diary connections

SystemStatus
DentallyPartner API application submitted; integration in development
Software of Excellence, Exact, R4Planned. Tell us which system you use
Carestream, CurvePlanned
Google Calendar, OutlookPlanned calendar sync

We build integrations in the order pilot practices need them, and will confirm what's possible before you commit.

Onboarding, targeting about a week

  1. Discovery call: hours, triage rules, NHS and private rules.
  2. Connection: we set up and test the link.
  3. Diary: read-only first; write access only when you approve.
  4. Test calls: booking, messages, urgent escalation.
  5. Go live: change hours any time.

Indicative pilot pricing

Planned launch pricing, excluding VAT, subject to change during the pilot. No contract. Every plan applies your NHS and private rules.

Data protection and safety

Designed to support your own UK GDPR, ICO and CQC obligations. You remain the data controller and we act as your processor.

UK GDPR

A data processing agreement is provided. Data is encrypted in transit and at rest, and hosted in the UK or EU.

Sub-processors

Our voice, telephony and AI providers are listed in the data processing agreement.

Call recording notice

Callers are told they are speaking to an AI and when a call is recorded.

Emergency handling

A triage script agreed with your clinicians, following your own out-of-hours protocol. Life-threatening emergencies are directed to 999.

If we go down

Calls fall back to a mobile or on-call number you choose, so patients still reach someone.

Minimal access

Diary access starts read-only. We request only the permissions needed, and nothing is used for any other purpose.

Questions practices ask

Will patients know it's an AI?

Yes. The AI introduces itself as an automated assistant and passes the call to a person whenever the caller asks.

Can I turn it off?

Yes. Remove the forwarding or ask us to pause coverage. There's no notice period or lock-in.

What if we change phone or diary system?

We'll update the connection. Tell us before you switch so nothing is missed.

Who owns the patient data?

You do. We process it only on your instructions.

Is it live yet?

Not yet. We're in pilot stage, building with a small group of practices. Joining the pilot means helping shape the product, with no commitment.

Stop losing new patients to voicemail.
